House. Late C16/early C17. Roughly coursed limestone roof; gabled
pantile roof; stone end stack. 2-unit gable-entry plan. One
storey and attic; 2-window range. Timber lintels over horned 2/2-
pane sash and 2-light casement. Gable end to left has similar
sash above C19 lean-to porch with round-arched doorway and inner
plank door. Rear elevation has original gabled dormer. Interior:
hall/kitchen to left has stop-chamfered beam and roll-moulded
bressummer over open fireplace with round arch to bread oven.
Original panelled partition with chamfered muntins and rails
divides this room from small service room. First floor has
similar partition with 4-centred arched doorway and a fireplace
with stop-chamfered bressummer. 2-bay collar-truss roof with
threaded ridge purlin, butt side purlins and windbraces to end
bay. A remarkably well preserved small-scale vernacular interior.
