family in the churchyard
approximately 3m north of nave to
Church of St. George

GV II

Pedestal tombs and ledger with inscription plate. Mid-late C18.
Limestone: brass plate. Group comprises: 2 rectangular pedestal
tombs, 1 with fluted frieze to end panels, inscribed to ELIZABETH
the Wife of THOMAS WATHEN; 1 with escutcheon to ends and south
side, inscribed to Phillip Wathen; 1 ledger stone with inscription
plate to John Wathen, died 1752. Ledger stone included to complete
family group.
