including gatepiers, niche and
lych gate

GV II

Boundary wall with gatepiers, water trough niche and lych gate.
Lych gate C17; niche possibly C14; wall early C19. Limestone
rubble; ashlar piers and niche; timber boarding to lych gate;
stone slate roof; iron gates. Boundary wall runs from junction
with stables and cart shed at Priory Farm (q.v.) linking with lych
gate, niche and gateway with square piers and moulded caps on east
side of churchyard. Returns to east chancel wall of church. Solid
random rubble side walls to lych gate support boarded cross-gabled
structure with stone roof. Segmental pointed arch to gabled niche
with horse trough in base on north side; carved bracket above,
possibly for image. Completes grouping of items in and around the
churchyard.
