5/130 Red Lion
Former farmhouse and barn, now detached house. Mid C17; early
C19 additions and alterations. Random rubble limestone, now
painted; ashlar and rendered chimneys; concrete tile roof. Two-
storey with attic; T-plan with attached former barn and
outbuilding range. South side: scattered fenestration, two 3-
light recessed chamfered mullioned casements with hoodmoulds to
each floor; doorway to right with single-light casement to left.
Central C20 flat-roofed dormer; left of centre ridge-mounted
chimney. Long single-storey outbuilding range projects forward to
right with altered casement fenestration and plank doors. West
side: gable end of main range projects forward to right with
single-window fenestration; small off-centre single-light to
ground floor; 2-light casement to upper floor and attic. Lean-to
conservatory addition to ground floor. Single-window fenestration
to wing projecting to left: segmental arched doorway with glazed
door to former cellar, C20 casement to left with concrete lintel;
chamfered mullioned 2-light casement with hoodmould to upper floor;
flat-roofed C20 dormer. East gable end of main range is largely
obscured by lean-to; single-window fenestration intact internally.
North side: 2 gables, that to left formerly to barn; chimney with
moulded cap to right gable. At one time building was public
