16/224 Millbank and house adjoining
including railings

GV II

Row of 2 houses. c1840. Ashlar limestone front; coursed rubble
sides; ashlar and artificial stone rebuilt chimneys; stone slate
roof. Two-storey with attic and cellar. Front: 4-window
fenestration, all sashes; 12-pane outer sashes, narrower 8-pane
over grouped central doorways with 4-panel doors; flat stone porch
hood on shaped brackets to Millbank. Central upper floor level
carved panel. Gable end chimneys, north having moulded cap.
Single-storey outbuilding at north end with doorway and casement.
Simple forecourt iron railings attached to both houses. Rear:
mixed sash and casement fenestration. Two attic gabled roof
dormers. Interiors not inspected. Included for Group Value.
