(east side), Woodchester

16/225 The Old Bakery including


Formerly 2 houses in row, now detached house. c1840. Ashlar
limestone front; coursed rubble sides; earlier random rubble rear
wing; rendered chimney; Welsh slate roof. Two-storey with
cellar; 2-storey rear wing. Front: 3-window fenestration,
alternating with doorways on ground floor; 12-pane sashes except
for central canted bay window to ground floor and false painted
window to upper floor left. Six-panel doors with rectangular
light over. Upper floor level carved panel set over left doorway.
Simple forecourt iron railings. Rear wing attached at south end
appears increased in height from random built earlier structure.
Interior not inspected. Included for Group Value.
