Detached house. Mid C19. Brick with stone quoins and dressings,
slate roof, paired end polygonal ashlar flues with moulded
cornices. Single range, 2 storeys. 3 windows, 2/1/2-light
lattice casements with stone mullions and flush stone quoins, each
window below elaborate decorated barge board on 3 small gables.
Ground floor has two 2-light similar flanking central projecting
gabled porch, also with barge board and original panelled door.
End gables have overhanging eaves and barge boards in similar
style. All gables have turned wooden finials. House may have
been the original school house, superseded by 1861 school to left.
