2/31 Priding Farmhouse
II
Farmhouse. Probably early Cl9, with rear wing probably of later
C19. Painted brick with diagonally-set brick dentils, part tile
and part concrete tile roof, brick end stacks to front range.
Double range of 2 storeys, with additional rear wing to right.
Three windows, 12-pane sashes with top right of 6 long panes with
cambered heads. Two 16-pane on ground floor flanking slightly
recessed door with semi-circular soffit and splayed brick
voussoirs, door of 4 flush panels with decorative radial fanlight.
Decorative bargeboards to gable ends of front range and rear range
to right. Left hand return has small niches in apex of each gable
end with coloured plaster and very elaborate late C19 projecting
open timberwork gabled porch with curved carved brackets. Similar
fenestration to returns.
