Large barn. Dated 1780 on keystone to south. Brick with quoins
and plinth of slag blocks, blue double Roman tile roof, brick
dentil cornice. Tall opposed projecting gabled porches up to ridge
height to north and south, with timber lintel and double timber
doors to south below depressed relieving arch with dated keystone,
and depressed brick arch to north. Three slit vents in two tiers
to each side of porches and to gable ends, with owl holes in apex,
and with letter H in red brick built into the paler brick on east
gable end. Seven bays, central bay wider, with king post roof.
Letter H may stand for Holford family who at one time owned several
farms in this area.
