6/73 The Nestings and Sundial
GV II
Formerly one house, now two cottages. Probably C17. Brick with
some internal timber-framing, thatch roof with decorative ridge,
originally brick ridge and right end stacks with additional
external stack to left end. Single range of single storey and
attic with rear extension, and side wing of single storey with
double Roman tile roof to The Nestings. Two full dormers with
altered 3-light casements flanking stack and originally with lobby
entry between on ground floor, now a C20 two-light window.
Inserted C20 doors to each side, remaining ground floor windows
have timber lintels.
