12/81 Former stable and coach house to
Springhill House
Former stable and coach house to former Eastington Lodge. Early
C19, with probably later C19 addition to north. Coursed and
dressed stone with flush quoins to right and coped verge with
ashlar stack to right gable end to street. Left hand section to
south in brick with small stone polygonal finial on gable end with
weathervane. Slate roof. Stone section has wide 4-centred archway
to east with flanking small ogee lights with square hoodmould, and
3-light ogee windows to west with square hoodmould and large C20
flat-roofed dormer over. Brick section, has door and 2-light
window to east with splayed brick voussoirs and stone keystone, and
cambered doorway on opposite side.
Stone section projects beyond perimeter wall into street forming
prominent feature. Interior not accessible.
