Millowner's house. Possibly C17 core, enlarged in C18 and C19.
Brick faced in roughcast to front, pantile roof, rendered end
stacks, some brick stacks, and tall ashlar stack to rear with
moulded cap. Single main range of 2 storeys and attic with rear
wing to left and smaller rear extensions to right, and to left hand
side, latter probably originally a separate cottage. Two windows,
3-light hipped dormers on eaves with wood casements and central
wooden louvred bell turret with clockface to front. First floor
has 3-light similar to right and 4-light to left with square stone
hoodmould and central mullion. Large canted bays to ground floor,
with 16-pane sash to front on left, 12-pane on right. Central
chamfered and stopped stone doorcase with plank door and C20 glazed
porch. Interior contains crossing chamfered and stopped beams on
ground floor.
