Two adjoining houses, Northend House being part, with the Old Post
Office, of the former Greenside House. Late C18. Painted brick,
tile roof, brick stacks. Main range with coped verges and
kneelers, remainder of Northend House hipped to front. Two
storeys and attic. Main range and projecting hipped front section
to left, linked by long single storey porch. Four windows,
unevenly spaced, 3 replaced 12-pane sashes to right (Old Post
Office), 12-pane tilting lights to left, all with painted flush
voussoirs and projecting panelled keystone. Similar ground floor
with door to Old Post Office in bay 2, 6 panels with top 2 glazed,
lower 4 fielded, and C19 gabled open porch. Hipped wing to
left has gabled dormer at crown of hip, large 16-pane sash to first
floor and full length 24-pane sash below, both with painted flush
keystone and voussoirs. C19 gabled open porch in angle to right
with 4-panel door, top 2 glazed, lower 2 fielded.
