Detached house. Core of mid C18, enlarged to south in later C18,
and again to south and rear in C19. Brick on slag block plinth,
except for south bow front and east facade, tile roof with moulded
brick cornice, hipped to south behind parapet wall. Originally
brick end stacks, that to right now as ridge stack. Single range
of 2 storeys and attic with 2-storey bow front to south and C19
extension to left rear wing. Core of 3 windows, 12-pane sashes
with contrasting rubbed brick splayed voussoirs, and originally
with 2 similar flanking a central doorcase, latter now removed and
replaced with a third window. Three gabled tile-hung dormers with
twin 6-pane casements. Large 12-pane to first floor far right.
Doorcase now moved to south front which has large 12-pane sashes
with plain stone architraves and keystone above door and on bow.
Stone doorcase with 2 attached unfluted Doric columns, moulded open
pediment, door of 6 flush panels up one stone step with decorative
radial fanlight recessed in round headed stone soffit. Back (east
side) has similar fenestration to bow front. Interior has stick
baluster stair with swept handrail.
