Outbuilding with gable end to street. Possibly C16, most probably
late C16/early C17. Timber-framed with later painted brick
infill, not all the frame exposed, interlocking tile roof, hipped
to street, small brick stack to east end. Single range of single
storey and attic with lower section to east, and additional small
later buildings forming L-plan to east not of special interest.
Two raking dormers with small paired casements on eaves, and
similar ground floor windows alternating with 4 plank doors.
Large 3-light window with timber lintel to far right. Lower wing
to left has large gabled dormer with C18 cast iron intersecting
casement. Interior has 4 bays with upper crucks, large flue to
east with opening in attics. Originally a dwelling and more
recently the village smoke house.
