3/233 Baldwin House and Baldwin Cottage
II
Former Baldwins Farmhouse, divided into two occupations. Late C18.
Brick with brick eaves dentil course and 2-brick stepped string,
tile roof with coped verges and kneelers and large external end
stacks to right and left and ridge stack, all brick with rebuilt
flues. Single range of 2 storeys and attic with rear catslide and
small wing to left of single storey and attic round external stack.
Three windows, paired 6-pane casements under cambered heads, 8-pane
to right for Baldwin Cottage. Similar ground floor with doors
between. To right, plank door with small glazed inset to Baldwin
Cottage. To left, half-glazed 6-panel door to Baldwin House with
later raking porch. One small central hipped dormer with some
original leading. Right hand return has round oculus on each side
of stack at attic level, rear one only survives on left hand
return.
