II
Small detached house. Probably early C16, extended to rear in
late C20. Partially timber-framed to front gable projecting on
left with roughcast infill on stone plinth, random coursed rubble
stone wing to right with flush quoins. Concrete tile roof
probably originally thatched, with central rendered ridge stack.
L-plan, lobby entry in angle, single storey and attic. Gable has
small double 4-pane casements to each floor, plank door in angle
and 2 paired casements to right. Inserted dormers on left hand
return. Interior has chamfered and stopped beams and some joists,
large back to back timber bressumer fireplaces with chamfered stone
cheeks and remains of newel stair to one side with throughway
below.
