yard of Church of St. Nicholas

Chest tomb, unidentified, mid C18; pedestal tomb, George
Dangerfield 1794. Chest: limestone. Flat top, moulded capping
and large plinth, lyre ends very eroded with floral returns and end
cartouches. Large foliage surround cartouche to south side, and
fielded rectangular panel to north with flanking reliefs.
Pedestal: sandstone. Tall concave moulded cap with convex top
above roll moulding and small finial. Plain capping, moulded
plinth on base, half round ends with fluted frieze, urn to east and
flowers to west. Moulded raised oval panels with rosette spandrels
to north and south.
