SO 9006 BISLEY-WITH-LYPIATT GEORGE STREET, Bisley Village

Detached house. Mid-late C17; enlarged and altered C18. Coursed
rubble limestone; artificial stone chimneys; concrete tile roof.
Two-storey, gable end facing road. South end: gable end, the
original line of which is easily visible from rows of pigeon hole
perches, holes now blocked. Two-light casement with hoodmould
incorporated within pigeon hole arrangement. Roof pitch probably
reduced at same time as insertion of single 16-pane sash to ground
floor with deep stone keyed lintel. Ball finial. Sides: C20
casements, rough line in masonry indicating original eaves.
Attached outbuildings at north end are not of special interest.
Interior not inspected. Included for Group Value, and to complete
tight grouping on western approach to Bisley.
