Detached house. Dated 1698; mid-late C18 addition. Random rubble
limestone; ashlar chimneys; stone slate roof. Two-storey with
attic; single-storey with attic addition to west. C20 cross-wing
at west end and single-storey outbuilding beyond are not of special
interest. North front: scattered fenestration to original house
left, including 3-light cavetto mullioned casement with hoodmould -
date inscribed on window jamb; small stair-window right, doorway
beyond with timber lintel and glazed door. Two upper floor timber
windows with C20 opening casements. Addition to right has 2 eaves-
mounted gabled roof dormers with C20 casements. Two ridge-mounted
chimneys, one with moulded cap. South side: mixed fenestration to
earliest part including three single-light casements. Central
doorway with stone lintel and C20 door. Central doorway with
glazed door and iron porch to addition left; 2 flanking casements,
left with gabled eaves-mounted dormer above.
Interior: two large fireplaces with timber lintels. Some square
panel timber-framed upper floor partitions. Two roof trusses to
earliest part have principals with curved feet.
