Farmhouse with attached barn, now incorporated. Early-mid C17;
addition dated J.D. 1660 for John Davies. C18 barn incorporated in
C20. Random rubble and ashlar limestone; ashlar chimneys; stone
slate roof. Two-storey with attic; wing added to east end forming
L-plan. Barn at west end. North west side: earliest part to left
with scattered and mixed fenestration; one 3-light chamfered
mullioned casement to ground floor, otherwise all small-paned
timber casements. Early C18 moulded and keyed oeil-de-boeuf
inserted to right. Gabled roof dormer with small-paned casement.
Barn to right has glazed infill to former doorway with timber
lintel. C16 casement to each floor right inserted in C20, three-
light to ground floor, 2-light above, both with round headed
lights. North east end: gable end of earlier house to right with
moulded cap to gable-mounted chimney. Ashlar elevation to wing to
left has single ovolo moulded mullioned casement to each floor with
hoodmould, 3-light to ground floor, 2-light above. Pedimented
doorway to right with inscription to pulvinated frieze. Moulded
architrave to 3-centred arch; moulded keystone and imposts;
double 3-panel doors. Early C18 oeil-de-boeuf above with paterae
and hoodmould. Rear: projecting chimney with 2 rebuilt diagonal
shafts to gable end of wing. Single-window fenestration to rear of
wing as to front. Projecting stair turret in angle. C20 casements
to main range and former barn.
Interior: room in wing has moulded Tudor arched stone fireplace.
Forms group with Old Overtown Cottage (q.v.) to north east.
