9/190 Old Weavers House

II

Detached house. c1800; rear wing altered in C20. Coursed
rubble limestone; ashlar and artificial stone chimneys; concrete
tile roof. Three-storey; long rear wing. Front: 3 ranges of
3-light chamfered mullioned casements with hoodmoulds, all with
timber casements having Gothick glazing bars. Off-centre doorway
with 6-panel door and Regency porch with tent roof; single-light
with hoodmould above. Pair of offset buttresses to right of
centre. Plain floor-level bands. Parapet gable ends. Three
ridge-mounted chimneys, 2 with moulded caps. Single-storey wing
to left with small-paned timber cross-windows. Former stable and
coach house wing to rear, some timber windows with leaded iron
opening casements, otherwise altered with C20 gabled dormers to
raised roof. Interior not inspected.
