SO 8407-8507 PITCHCOMBE PITCHCOMBE VILLAGE

12/200 Star Farmhouse

GV II

Detached farmhouse. Late C17; mid-late C18 addition. Coursed
rubble limestone; ashlar and rendered chimneys; Welsh slate roof.
Two-storey with attic. Front: scattered fenestration, all iron
casements some with leading retained; timber lintels. C19 gabled
porch to off-centre doorway with 4-panel door. Cellar access at
right end with plank door and timber lintel. Single gabled roof
dormer. Two ridge-mounted chimneys indicate ends of original
house to west. West end: 2-light chamfered mullioned upper floor
casement with hoodmould. North side: single-storey lean-to
addition. Two-light upper floor mullioned casement with
hoodmould. Interior not inspected. Forms part of group with
barn to south east (q.v.) and The Mill House (q.v.).
