Formerly 2 houses, now detached house. Late C17, front rebuilt and
rear wing enlarged late C18. Random rubble limestone; ashlar
chimneys; concrete tile roof. Two-storey with attic; rear wing
forms L-plan. West front: 3-window fenestration, all 2-light
chamfered mullioned leaded iron casements. Doorway to right of
centre with 4-panel door and flat stone porch hood on shaped
brackets. Upper floor appears in later masonry, probably late C18
enlargement. South side: front of earlier house forms wing to
right; 2-light chamfered mullioned casements to ground and upper
floor, single-light to attic. Large segmental arch to gable end of
front range, now with 020 casement and plank door below. Two-light
to attic. North end: 2-light attic casement with lead-latticing.
Catslide roof to north side outshut to rear wing.
Interior: a mullioned window, formerly in west end of earlier
part, can be seen. Two spiral staircases adjacent to fireplaces.
One piece of early glass has inscription 'Est une folie, toute ma
vie - Graham', confirming the recorded early occupation by Huguenot
weavers. Forms part of group with Halstead (q.v.), France Cottage
(q.v.) and Nos 1 and 2, Cotswold Place (q.v.).
