13/87 Old Chapel

II

Former Wesleyan Methodist chapel, now detached house. 1859.
Dressed and squared limestone; concrete tile roof. Two-storey,
former school room to ground floor with former chapel above.
Parapet gabled ends, west end with offset corner buttresses.
Central moulded pointed arched west doorway with jamb shafts; 3-
light pointed arched window with Decorated tracery. Four bay south
side with offset buttresses. Tall 2-light pointed chapel windows
with Decorated tracery; 2-light trefoil headed window below.
Built into bank at rear. Interior not inspected but appears to
retain balcony at west end of chapel. Very prominent position high
on the steep valley side.
