10/92 Quail Cottage

II

Formerly 2 houses in row, now single detached house. Late C17;
late C18 addition. Random and coursed rubble limestone; ashlar
and concrete block chimneys; concrete tile roof. Front: full
gable with single-window fenestration, 2-light chamfered mullioned
casement with hoodmould to ground and upper floor (both C20
restored) oval attic window. Pedimented doorway to left, now
attached to C20 built lobby, presumably replacing earlier entry.
C18 addition to right has single segmental arched ground floor
casement; C20 altered upper floor casement below half gable. West
end: full gable with rebuilt chimney. Upper floor 2-light
casement to rear wing. Interior not inspected.
