SO 70 SE FROCESTER BATH ROAD

1/108 Nos 1 and 2, Thatched Cottages

Two houses in row. Late C16, partially rebuilt early C19. Timber
framed with painted brick refacing; rebuilt brick chimneys;
thatched roof. Single-storey with attic. Outshut added to rear is
not of special interest. Front: one full gable has 2 jetties and
attic casement in small square framing with rendered infill.
Ground floor built out in brick under lower jetty with central
doorway having 4-panel door flanked by timber casements. Gabled
dormer to left with timber framed iron casement. Casement below in
later segmental arched brick opening; doorway to left with thatched
porch and plank door. Three ridge-mounted chimneys. South end:
brick on rubble stone base. Single-window timber casement
fenestration.
