Field barn. Early-mid C18. Random rubble limestone; ashlar
chimney; corrugated asbestos roof. Seven-bay barn with north and
south porches, outshut to north. Left of centre gabled barn porch
on south side, doorway having timber lintel with relieving arch
over. Flanking concrete block-built outshuts are not of special
interest. Similar gabled porch opposite on north side, this with
contemporary outshut adjoining; diagonal-set stone over north barn
doorway possibly a datestone but not legible. Several blocked
openings to left on 2 levels, probably former windows when east and
converted for domestic use. Gable-mounted chimney to east end has
C19 moulded cap, one doorway below with 3 steps up. Render to west
gable end. Interior: 7 bay collar and tie-beam truss roof with 2
rows of purlins. Sub-divided east end has had upper floors at some
date and large stepped chimney stack built against gable end.
Concrete floor. Probably dates from first enclosure of this part
of Minchinhampton CP.
