Row of 8 houses. Mid-late C17, one part rebuilt early C19. Random
rubble limestone; ashlar concrete block and artificial stone
rebuilt chimneys; stone slate roof. Mostly single-storey with
attic; Nos 10, 12 and 14 two-storey. Various rear additions.
Front: long row with various window arrangements, some altered.
No 8 retains 2-light and former 3-light recessed chamfered
mullioned casements with hoodmoulds, later inserted doorway in part
of 3-light. Restored 2-light casements to Nos 10 and 12.
Chamfered mullioned casements with hoodmoulds to Nos 16 and 18.
Many eaves-level gabled dormers with variety of casements. Mainly
rebuilt ridge-mounted chimneys. Interiors not inspected. Row is
of considerable length, contributing greatly to the townscape in
this area.
