Detached house Dated 17 I A 10. Coursed squared limestone;
ashlar chimneys; stone slate roof. Two-storey with attic;
single-storey with attic rear wing. Front: 3 full gables, 3-
window fenestration. Three-light chamfered mullioned casements to
ground and upper floors with continuous drip moulds and relieving
arches; 2-light attic casement with hoodmould in each gable.
Central doorway with moulded stone architrave and fine shell hood
on elaborately carved brackets, date and initials on door lintel;
panelled door. Flanking single-light windows. Single-window
fenestration to gable ends as to front. Rear: 2 outer gables
have Cl9 rebuilt chimneys with plain caps. Lower gabled rear wing
with mullioned fenestration. Interior not inspected. Initials
on doorway are of the clothier John Webb (died 1754) and his wife,
Anne. Contemporary gate piers to south west (q.v.).
