SO 8600-8700 MINCHINHAMPTON HIGH STREET, Minchinhampton Town
(east side)

GV II

Shop and house on end of row. Early Cl9 possibly earlier rear
wing. Coursed and squared limestone; ashlar chimneys; stone
slate roof. Two-storey with attic; attached 2-storey rear wing.
Front: single 16-pane sash to each floor, upper floor window being
smaller. Two gabled attic dormers with small-pane timber
casements. North end: angled end at 45° with off-centre ground
floor canted shop window bay, 16-pane sash above. Plain upper
floor level band. Gabled end chimney with plain cap is rhomboid in
plain resulting in strange spacial effect. Rear wing probably
earlier with two single-light Tudor-arched casements in gable end,
one with cinquefoil.
