SO 80 SE MINCHINHAMPTON HYDE

3/267 Hyde Grange

Detached house. Late C17, considerably enlarged c1820; later Cl9
addition to west end. Random and coursed rubble limestone;
ashlar chimneys; concrete tile roof. Two-storey with attic;
lower 2-storey wing to west. South front: 3-window fenestration
to main block, all 12-pane sashes in plain architraves. Central
doorway with Tuscan doorcase having dentil-enriched entablature, 6-
panel door with rectangular light over. Upper floor level sill
band. Moulded stone eaves; hipped roof. Off-centre gabled
dormer with small-pane casement. Lower late C19 addition to left
has 2-window fenestration, 4-pane sashes, those to upper floor
round arched. East side: 2-window fenestration as to front;
later Cl9 rectangular bay window replacing ground floor sash to
left. Two C20 dormers. Central chimney with moulded cap.
Rear: part of original C17 house visible at north west corner,
roof height altered.
Interior: mostly c1820 with reeded balusters to staircase, turned
newel posts. Blocked mullioned window and timber framed partition
in C17 part.
