Row of 14 houses. Dated 1833 for David Ricardo. Coursed and
squared limestone, random rubble to sides and rear; ashlar
chimneys; stone slate roof. Two-storey with attic, continuous
outshut to rear. Front: long row has 2 gabled end blocks with
round arched lights to mullioned casements with hoodmoulds, one 3-
light to ground floor with 3-centred arched doorway, two upper
floor 2-light and one attic 2-light with datestone in gable apex,
ball finial to each gable. Two-window segmental arched casement
fenestration to remainder of row, larger ground floor casement
having segmental arched doorway to left. Various casements, some
retaining leaded timber casements. Central eaves-mounted gabled
dormer to each house. Row divided into groups of 3 by simple
rusticated pilasters. Ridge-mounted chimney with plain cap to each
house, one to rear gable of each end block. Rear: continuous
outshut has catslide roof, each house having eaves-level gabled
dormer. Some C20 rear additions. Contemporary outbuildings
include ash house at each end. Interiors not inspected.
