19/316 Barn approximately 20m north of
The Lammas

GV II

Former barn, now outbuilding. Mid-late C18; C20 alterations.
Random rubble limestone; stone slate roof. Five-bay barn with
west porch. Gabled porch at centre of west side, doorway now
blocked, later gable-mounted chimney added. Lean-to outshut to
left with stone posts having later masonry infill between. Keyed
stone lintel to loft opening in north gable end, now with casement;
owl hole in apex of gable. Slit vents have splayed openings
internally. Central barn doors on east side. Inserted 16-pane
sash and doorway in partially rebuilt wall to left. Cross roll
saddles to gable ends.
Interior: subdivided, porch open to main part altered by C20
inglenook fireplace. Five-bay collar and tie beam truss roof with
2 rows of purlins. Forms part of group with The Lammas (q.v.).
