19/318 Swan Inn

GV II

Inn on end of row. C17, altered early C19. Random rubble
limestone, all painted; ashlar chimneys; stone slate roof. Two-
storey with attic. Earliest part runs alongside road, roof altered
at east end to hip. Ground floor timber fixed-light with timber
lintel; 16-pane sash above. Lower return wing added at east end,
fenestration being mixture of sashes and casements, including two
16-pane upper floor sashes. Projecting chimney to south gable end,
leaded casement alongside. Interior not inspected. Although
altered building provides important end to continuous row, and is
included for Group Value.
