Detached house, now in two occupations, one of a pair. Mid to late c19. Lime-
stone ashlar, beaver-tail tile roof to coped gables. Long rectangular plan with
gable to right slightly stepped forward, and additions back left; two storeys
and attic, 4+1 windows. At ground floor is 12-pane sash, then contemporary
porch with arched opening and coped gable with beaver-tail tiles and C19 door,
two 12-pane sashes, and a canted bay with plate glass sashes and hipped tiled
roof; at first floor are three 12-pane sashes with glazing bars, and in the
right gable a small glazed slit. Gable return, left has 2 sashes without bars,
a later porch, now blocked with a 12-pane sash; beyond this a further porch and
a 16-pane sash. Three ashlar stacks, to left gable, at wing junction and right
end, cill to skirts and with moulded cappings. Interior not inspected. One of
a pair of rather grand houses with Little Horsepools (qv), little altered in the
view from the road.
