Detached cottage. C18, but possibly some earlier fabric. Squared limestone
rubble, stone slate roof. Single 2-room block with brick stack at far end,
later extension at lower level; gable end to road. Two storeys, 2 windows, all
2-light stone mullioned casements, plain chamfers left and recessed chamfers
right. Far side has single 2-light wood casement over a C20 glazed door, and at
ground floor, right a 2-light chamfer-mullion stone casement. Interior
modified, with plain bressummer fire, probably C20 renewal, 2 chamfered beams,
and position for original spiral stair to left of fireplace. The roadside gable
shows position of earlier roof line.
