House with shop at end of short row. C18, but some evidence for C17 in wing.
Limestone ashlar with stone slate roof. Broad frontage to street, a deep wing
to left and brick gable stack to left. Two storeys, attic, and part cellar,
4-windowed; but at ground floor far left, a small 6-pane casement, then part
glazed C19 door under, plain transom light, a canted bay shop front with
3:12:3-pane sashes, a 6-paned fielded door, and a 12-pane sash, all beneath
three 12-pane late C18 sashes and, at bay 3, a recessed blank panel with moulded
surround; three 2-light gabled dormers. At right end, under ground floor, a
2-light cellar opening in stone with central ovolo-mould mullion. A deep wing
at right in two storeys with hipped stone slate roof. Return gable left has
various openings including a blocked doorway and two 2-light chamfered mullion
casements. Interior not inspected.
