Inn, at end of street row. Datestone to door 1711 WEM, but early C19
fenstration. Squared coursed limestone, perhaps formerly rendered to rusticated
quoins, rubble returns, some ashlar in additions and wings, Welsh slate roof.
Plain front block with C19 parallel range, and deep service wing back, right.
To sheet is 3 storeys, 3 windows, triple 4:12:4-pane sashes ground and first
floor and 6-pane sashes,to second floor. Bull-nosed cills to ground and first
floors. Central pair good C18 panelled doors in stone surround with vertical
console brackets and wide flat cornice. Left return has a segmental-headed
opening to collar, and later openings. A wooden moulded cornice conceals
guttering, and a plinth dies into pavement. Service wing to later C19.
Interior considerably modified in C20.
