Hazelbury Cottage
GV II
House at end of row. Probably C17, but with C19 fenstration. Limestone ashlar,
stone slate roof. L-plan, with gable end plus eaves section in same plane
presented to street; this part two storeys, 1 + 1 windows, wide 20-pane sashes
to ground floor and 16-pane sashes above; off-centre right a C20 plank and
batten door under flat hood to brackets. Return, left 1½ storeys, 2 windows: 2
gabled half dormers with 16-pane sashes over a single light at ground floor with
gabled porch to C20 door, left. Lower extension set back, left has 2-light
casement with glazing bars at each floor. Stack at ridge, left of entry on
street front; this raised in reconstructed stone block, and gable stack for left
on return. Interior no inspected.
