(south east side)
9/239 Two Niblett monuments in
the churchyard c.15 m in
south west of the west
tower to the Church of St
Mary

GV II

Two headstones. Mid to late C18. Limestone.

(a) Nearer to path. Scrolled and counter-curved top, 2 cherubs flanking an
urn; slightly modelled.

(b) Immediately adjoining the last, to its south side. Slightly counter-curved
top; central urn, rococo floral top to husk drops. Some bold lettering, but no
longer legible. The 1879 survey gives both these monuments as Niblett, but
names no longer decipherable. A late pair, but still of above average quality.
Just south of principal path.
