Detached house. C18 or earlier, raised in C19. Coursed squared limestone,
stone slate roof. A squat L-plan block with re-entrant infilled to make a
square plan, gabled to outer ends, hipped on south-east corner. Four storeys, 2
windows; ground floor has a 3-light casement and a C20 door, first floor two
3-light; second floor two 2-light. All casements recessed chamfer mullion with
stopped hoods, except second floor right without hood. Two 2-light gabled
dormers. Return, left has 2-light without hood, 3-light with and a C20 door and
single light under one hood; this wall has a large raking buttress, also a
further buttress set diagonally at the corner. Back of building, which is set
across a steep slope has two 2-light casements without hoods at first floor, and
a C20 door, low left. Interior much modified.
