Description

PAINSWICK ST MARY'S STREET
SO 8609/8709 (part)
(south east side)
8/279 Rosemary Cottage
21.10.55
GV II
House in short row. C17. Limestone ashlar, stone slate roof. This seems to be
built with Wycke Cottage (q.v.), but the latter either a rebuild or an exten-
sion. Ground floor has 2-light C20 chamfer mullion casement, possibly replacing
former door, a 2-light recessed chamfer mullion casement and a part-glazed door:
all these under a continuous string, stopped at the right end only. At first
floor, two 12-pane sashes in exposed boxes to stopped hoods, and above a 2-light
C19 casement dormer with leading. Ridge stack, left.
