House. C16/C17 Limestone cut, coursed and squared block, stone slate roof. A
two-gabled street frontage with single-gabled return to left, and a back range
parallel to street and projecting left. Two-and-a-half storeys, 2 over 2 over
3-light recessed chamfer mullions casements to stopped drips and with small
single light at first floor, centre, immediately below valley between gables;
all except centre light with glazing bars. Centrally a glazed Gothick door in
orenellated porch) with diagonal buttresses; bottom left on street front to
2-light opening to basement. Return, left, 2 over 2 over 2-light casements as
front. Interior has been entirely modified. This holds an important position
at the entry to Painswick from the south; it continues to Jasmine Cottage (qv)
but is a separate build from that.
