4.7.60 (formerly listed as

St Kenulf


Large house in two parts, in row, C18 and C19. Left part set back, painted
stucco to simple parapet, Welsh slate mansard roof. Two storeys, attic
and basement, 3-windowed: segmental-headed dormers with sash over wide-
spaced sashes in reveals and under V-jointed projecting voussoirs spanning
beyond openings, these all with glazing bars; at ground floor 2 arched
sashes under alternating V-joint voussoirs, without glazing bars. Centrally
pair of 3-panel fielded doors up 3 stone steps in arch and with bold portico
with Doric pilasters and inner pilasters, moulded arch with keystone and
openings in cheeks also arched with keystones; porch flat entablature with
deep plain frieze. Right half, painted stucco with moulded 'cornice' mid-
way to simple parapet, Welsh slate roof to coped gables. Two storeys and
basement, 3-windowed, sashes without bars, with plat-band surrounds to first
floor and continuous cill bend, central glazed door under plain transom
light approached by 5 steps.
