Farmhouse, until c1976, now dwelling, C17 with substantial rebuilding and modification c.1898. Some squared rubble, mainly box timber framing, with- out bracing, brick infill, stone slate roofs.

An L-plan, with earliest block, right with stone ground floor walls supporting framed upper level, probably originally jettied both back and front, gable stack, right, and large stack at ridge at junction with cross-wing with gabled jetties front and back, left. A door, not now used, gives to lobby entrance, or possibly originally a through-way with main stack added later. Behind the gabled and jettied wing a further late-C19 timber framed extension with jettied upper floor.

Street elevation two storeys and attic, one+two-windowed; in gable front three-light over three-light wood casement with diagonal leading, in advance of wall plane, to right small gabled dormer, two three-light wood casements over one deeper three-light and one small three-light and a small square opening at floor level. Plank batten and nail-head door, left opposite stack. Back of right hand block has ground floor stone and upper level framed, as front. The cross-gabled left half has been substantially re-structured, but using mainly originally timbers, on a stone plinth.

Interior, three large roof bays with two upper crucks, two purlins no wind bracing, high collars; various beams, and, in kitchen, chamfered and stopped joists. The building
also reported to have been an inn at some stage.
