SO 82 NW HASFIELD -

3/87 Walled garden in grounds of
Hasfield Court

GV II


Wall around walled garden. Built c1865. Red brick; 2 courses
stretchers one of four headers and four stretchers. Bricks with
ribs, perforated to take wires for climbing plants on inner face.
Limestone capping. Rectangular plan, up to 6m in height. Entrance
on south-east side; door made of spear-headed iron rods within
mouLded limestone surround. Meath-Baker family crest over door.
Gable ove-r curved upwards, pointed finial at apex, similar pointed
finials at lower level either side. Flat capping.
