SO 82 NW HASFIELD -

3/90 Wall and main entrance gates,
Hasfield Court

GV II


Wall and gates forming main entrance to Hasfield Court. Blue lias
with sandstone capping and piers. Mid-late C19. Wall c30m long
and up to c2.5m high. Double cast iron gates curving upwards at
centre with foliate finials. Square gate piers either side with
inset corners, eroded moulded cappings formerly with pointed
finials, similar subsidiary piers right and left (one retaining
pointed finial) linked to main piers by quadrant walls. Single
exaggerated segmental curve upwards in capping between piers.
Single width entrance with cast iron gate flanked by piers matching
those of main entrance far right. Wall between main entrance and
subsidiary entrance stepped up in V-shapes.
