SO 82 NW HASFIELD

3/97 Primrose Cottage

II


Detached cottage. C15 or earlier and C20. Square-panelled timber-
framing with bracing, unpainted brick infill, left gable end brick-
faced, red tile roof, brick stacks. Rectangular plan. 1½ storeys,
upper storey of east front lit by four 2-light C20 dormers with
horizontal glazing bars and hipped roofs. Five 2-light C20
casements with horizontal glazing bars to ground floor, respecting
framing. C19 plank door off-centre right at front of gabled C20
porch with pierced quatrefoil in gable. Similar porch at rear.
Interior: 3 full cruck trusses towards south end. North gable-end
hipped.
