Detached farmhouse. C17 and possibly earlier, C18 and C19.
Square-panelled timber-framing with painted infill, otherwise
painted and unpainted brick, red tile roof, brick stacks. Complex
basically u-shaped plan. Early core probably at centre of main
body, square-panelled timber-framing visible at first floor level.
Facade of early core refaced in brick C19. Two-storey, L-shaped
wing forming left-hand side of courtyard (at rear), timber-framed
but refaced in brick C18 and C19 except at left gable end. 1 1/2
storey, C19 extension forming right-hand side of courtyard. 2 1/2
storey C19 extension at gable-end of main body. 1 1/2 storey C19
extension rear left of main body. Irregular fenestration mostly 1,
2 and 3-light C20 casements. Facade of house lit by early C20 2
and 3-light casements and one 6-light casement all with horizontal
glazing bars. Two C18 composite stacks.
Interior not inspected. Exterior accessible only from road.
